When root piles are applied?

Root piles, like the bored piles, are applied nearby existing buildings and constructions, when the use of driven piles is impossible in any type of the ground. In the case of their use there are no dynamic impacts on the ground during borings. That’s why the piles of this type can be successfully used in conditions of a big city. Root piles are widely applied by restoration and reconstruction of the objects of engineer monuments nowadays.

Today the use of root and bored piles is a very profitable and practical way of the foundation.

It is recommended to apply root piles in the following cases:

• for underpinning of existing buildings and constructions in case of occurrence of
• for preventive underpinning during construction nearby new building; by the reconstruction of the buildings with changing of design map and transferring to foundations additional loads
• for heightening purposes

What are the root piles and their piling like

Root piles are similar to bored piles. As a rule, their diameter makes up 180-400 mm, they are made without borehole casings, and the drilled well is filling with water-cement, cement-sand grout (fine concrete). Well filling is implemented under pressure through the hollow auger of the boring machine. After that an armoured framework is installed.
