Pile foundation works
Excavation and sheeting of the foundation pits

What is “slurry wall” method and when this method is used?“Slurry wall” method—is a method of enclosing and load-carrying structures construction. The method is based on constructing of vertical walls in trenches of the underground structures before the beginning of the excavation works inside the structure. Trenches are filled with thixotropic suspensions, that prevent ground walls from caving. After that thixotropic suspensions (mud solution) are replaced by special materials: concrete, various compounds, precast elements, that form load-carrying and non-load-carying structures in the ground. “Slurry wall” method is reasonable to use in complex geological conditions (in this case there is no need in water depression, freezing etc.), in straitened conditions of existing buildings, by reconstructing of operating enterprises. “Slurry wall” method is effective by the construction of the small underground structures – transport tunnels, pedestrian underpasses etc. - on the considerable depth (usually about 20 m) on the built-over land. It is also possible to work in the foundation pit without organization of the water depression system, when the “slurry wall” method cuts waterbearing stratum and get deeper into the waterproof stratum. In this method it is more reasonable to use root ground anchors instead of a thrust system. It is should be pointed out: The stiffness and strength of walls increases, when using root ground anchors as temporary or constant medium, and it can be correspondingly said, that possibilities of applying this method become wider. What technical equipment do we use for “slurry wall” method? It is very important, that “slurry wall” method can be applied for every configuration and the size in design map, and the depth of “slurry wall” is limited by construction project requirements and possibilities of available equipment. For “slurry wall” method we use the following equipment:
with possibility of construction of the «wall» 600, 800 and 1000 mm. in width. We use root ground anchors instead of anchor system making . |
